Heavenly Five-a-Side Tournament: A New Tradition of Hope, Sport, and Community in Honduras

On April 12th, 2025, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, the Leoka Mphuthi Foundation NPC launched the inaugural Heavenly Five-a-Side Football Tournament—a vibrant, youth-focused event designed to uplift and connect young athletes aged 15 to 19. In partnership with Iglesia Cristiana Kainos and Escuela Internacional Sampedrana, the tournament combined sport with purpose, offering a platform for personal growth, leadership, and community engagement. More than just a competition, the event marks the beginning of an annual tradition aimed at nurturing talent, building unity, and creating long-term opportunities for youth across the region.
